HoD News - 3 September 2021

Dear colleagues,

It was a great pleasure to see so many colleagues at the ECON Welcome Back Gathering last Friday. This week, we have been welcoming approx. 1000 new bachelor students on campus Fuglesangs Allé – reminding everyone that the University is once again fully open and buzzing with life - and sound boxes. The introduction week ends this Friday, and on Monday 6 September teaching and learning will be in focus.

After more than a year of working and studying remotely, both students and lecturers are looking very much forward to returning to the lecture rooms and meet face-to-face. As mentioned in my previous newsletter, a few public health guidelines still apply, and teaching staff are encouraged to remind students to ensure that classrooms and lecture rooms are sanitised after teaching and allow for adequate ventilation as often as possible. AU’s corona website includes more information about what guidelines you need to follow as an AU employee.

Lastly, I want to remind you of the ECON post-corona workplace survey sent to all ECON employees (except NCRR + TRYG) on Friday 27 August – if you have not already answered the survey, you will automatically receive a kind reminder in the beginning of next week.
