Income inequality in Denmark has been rising over the past three decades, as it has in most industrialized countries, and Rune Vejlin's project will investigate whether changes in labor market sorting, i.e., the matching of worker types to firm types implemented by the labor market, have contributed to rising wage inequality.

The basic idea is that if high wage workers and high wage firms are more likely to form a match today than previously, then wage inequality will automatically increase.
