New and trimmed down Competition Council with no less than two researchers from Aarhus BSS

Professor of economics Philipp Schröder and associate professor of law Pernille Wegener Jessen are both at the table in the new Danish Competition Council which has trimmed down from 18 to only seven members.

The founder of Whiteaway.com, Johannes Gadsbøll, was one of the  speakers at the Oecon Conference 2015. The theme of this year’s conference was ‘Entrepreneurship 360° Denmark’s entrepreneurial conditions - good or bad?’

The Aarhus University Anniversary Foundation Prize of Honour for Pedagogics is awarded associate professor Kristina Risom Jespersen in recognition of outstanding and groundbreaking teaching at Aarhus University and is accompanied by a DKK 100,000 monetary award.

The Oecon Award 2015 - New Deadline

A new call for recommendations for the Oecon Award 2015 has been sent out. The deadline has been extended till 4 September 2015 at 12 noon. In particular, Master’s thesis advisors are urged to consider students who graduated between the summer of 2014 and now (including students whose theses may currently be under review).

CREATES to host the annual SoFiE conference

The research centre CREATES at Aarhus BSS will host the 2015 conference of the Society for Financial Econometrics (SoFiE). More than 200 participants have signed up for the conference, which offers 90 scientific contributions over the course of four days.
